I heard that this anime has quite an interesting plot. There is even a movie based on the popular manga series. I haven’t watch the movie yet and will probably do so if it looks good on the anime. The story is about a law student who’s disillusioned with the rule of law. One night, Light chances upon a notebook that inexplicably has the English words “Death Note” on its cover. In the book, there are pages with instructions in English on how to kill people. All you have to do is write their names and think of their faces.

Anyway, Death Note started off as a manga series in December 2003 with 108 chapters. It was then licensed for the American public by VIZ Media and was released in Octorber 2005. A live-action movie where the first part was released on June 2006 and the second part was released on November 2006. In October 2006, an anime based on the manga commenced airing in Japan.
