I have been wondering how can I take a snapshot of a certain picture of the video that is playing on Windows Media Player for quite sometime. I had tried the printscreen while the video is playing but it doesn’t work. It just capture a black screen. I even tried using SnagIt but it doesn’t work either. I snoop around Google and found out that it was due to the Overlay in Windows Media Player. Some people recommended to turn off the overlay when I want to take a snapshot. It is very inconvenient as sometimes I forgot to turn back on and my video playback doesn’t play as smooth. Snooped even further, I found that I can capture a snapshot by pressing CTRL + I while the video is playing. A window will popup asking you where would you like to store the capture image. Now this is a much better option than the earlier one. With this method, I can now capture all my favorite parts from the anime video on my hard disk. If you have known about this, why didn’t you tell me before?
Now I don’t need to pay for those software when I can just use what is available.
