Wow I never thought that one simple hammock can actually KILL!

“Watch out! Evil Hammock on the loose! Don’t run with your underwear exposed!”

Alright lets be serious! For now. Anyone read the papers today? Well there story goes like this…

—- KOTA KINABALU: She was only playfully trying to make a hammock out of a towel and rope. But it ended in tragedy for a 13-year-old girl on Monday, when she inadvertently hanged herself from the ceiling of a workers’ quarters here.

Zira Rahman was standing on a table and had wrapped a towel around her neck, before tying a nylon rope around it to create a hammock.

Shortly after, Zira’s mother, Ani Yusop, 35, returned home at 11am to find her daughter dangling from the rope and struggling to free herself.

Ani frantically tried to free her daughter but failed.

She then rushed to a construction site some 200m away to alert her husband.

They managed to bring Zira down and rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

City police chief Asst Comm Ku Chin Wah said the girl could have lost her balance and slipped.

So parents! Watch your kids even though they are already reaching secondary school! A simple, childish, and innocent imagination can KILL! Better be careful now then to be sorry later!
