Today is another day of the StarCeleb RoadShow at 1Utama. I was there in the afternoon about 4pm. The StarCeleb stage was built at the Oval area. I was talking to my friend at one of the StarCeleb booth where they are handing out the booklet when the MC came over and ask us up to the stage. I didn’t even know was happening and only found out that we are going to play some games and eat some sushi with wasabi in it.

Nine people asked to go up on the stage. What we have to do is to act a pose like a super hero which is their trademark. There is 3 super hero action that we need to imitate, Ultraman, Sailormoon and Pikachu. The game play was simple but can be confusing at the same time too. The announcer will mention a hero and we have to act out the action. I got second place and had to eat a sushi as well. Not too bad as I haven’t eaten anything yet when I went over to 1Utama. And the prize was a small tea set with white wine tea. I haven’t tried the tea yet. Hopefully it is nice.

After my lunch, I went back and waited for the StarCeleb event to start. The contestant came out and introduce themselves and as usual will try to get more vote for themselves. When all introduction was over, they were given a task that is to learn how to jive. All of the contestant have to learn the steps in like 20-30 mins. I would say it is pretty simple as most of the contestant manage to dance quite ok. Daniel was hosting again as usual but May Wan wasn’t around this time.

After the contestant have learn the jive steps, they were separated in to groups where 2 groups will be dancing and another 2 groups will be the host/announcer. I only saw a couple of groups and left after that. I think some of them really acted silly, like small kids. There are 2 pairs per group. When they acted as the announcer, I think they really failed it. Some of their partner has no chance to talk. One say that the male dancer look like Donald Duck. Another ask the partner not to snatch the microphone. Its like they are having their own show and not cooperating at all. I don’t know how the rest did but the ones I saw was really bad.

There will be another day for the roadshow at 1Utama. I’m not sure I will be there again. Lets hope they will do better this time.
