WordPress has a new version. The current now version now is at 2.3.1 and it is a recommended upgrade. This is security released for version 2.3 WordPress. Besides providing more security, they have also fixed over twenty bugs. That is a lot of bugs they have fixed.
Among the notable fixed are (quoted from WordPress Development blog)
- Tagging support for Windows Live Writer
- Fixes for a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than their WordPress Address
- Faster taxonomy database queries, especially tag intersection queries
- Link importer fixes
The security issue that was found in 2.3 was an XSS problem that can be exploited if your php setup has register_globals enabled. Therefore, it is essential for all 2.30 WordPress user to do this upgrade. Get the upgrade here.
