Today is Download Firefox 3 Day. It seems they are trying to go for the World Record of having the most download in one day. It would start recording around 10:00 a.m. PST.
I have a lot of memory issues with Firefox 2 where I had to restart it every now and then. It seems there to be using my CPU resources without releasing it. On my Windows Task Manager, I have seen it go as high as 1mil K in memory usage. In Firefox 3, it have better memory management and you can sometimes even open up to 40-50 tabs window without having a major memory problem. By the way, you can use the nightly tester tools add-on that lets you override the checks on version. This way, you don’t have to worry about your add-on compatibility.
