I’m sure everyone of us need to travel to get to work on a daily basis. Those who are in the sales lines need to travel more frequently than others. I just want to know how many company have mileage allowance for their staff. The company that I used to work for only provide mileage allowance for those who stay after hours. How many of us actually stay back long enough to claim for these mileage allowance. With the increase in petrol prices, every little allowance that we can get helps a lot. If I need to travel a lot but I don’t get mileage allowance, I would quit in less than a month should my pay isn’t enough to cover for the expenses. Some company even have vehicle reimbursement program. Since I do not need to travel much, this doesn’t really affect me at all. For those that need to travel much, I hope their company has taken policy with the Vehicle reimbursement company for their mobile staff. Not only that it is good for the company but for the staff as well. For the company, they reduce their liability, gets lower risk, tax free as well as able to manage their cost too.
