IMEEM is an online community where artists, fans & friends can promote their content, share their tastes, and discover blogs, photos, music and video. You can find a lot of music and videos there. Many of my friends are using it to listen to their favorite songs. I have seen some website having embed iMeem on their site successfully. I sourced around in Google but couldn’t find any thing that was useful for me to embed it on WordPress. If you didn’t know, WordPress.com currently does not allow embedding of imeem’s flash content. So this is only applicable for those who are having their own WordPress blog setup.

The way I’m using to embed iMeem on post and sideware is by using Anarchy Player and my own Customized Sidebar Widget. You can get the Anarchy Player from the author website. There is a full details on the installation, setup and also ways to use it. After you have set it up and activate the plugin in your WordPress there will be two buttons available. The first button is for flash files and the second button is for youtube and the such. A list of you can use is shown on the popup.

How To:
Embed iMeem to WordPress post (Using Anarchy Player)
Download – Get it here. There is version for normal wordpress and multi-user wordpress

Copy everything in “Embed in your blog…” out and paste to some editor or your wordpress. Then find the part where it says value=”http://media.imeem.com…”. Keep a mental note what is the width and height. You may change this to your liking. Next click on the first button of the Anarchy Player for inserting SWF files. Copy the value and paste it there. Enter the height and width and click OK. Thats it. Now you have iMeem playing music in your selected post. This will work for embeding the playlist as well.

Embed iMeem WordPress Sidebar (Widget)
Download – iMeem WordPress Widget v1.00

Extract the file inside to your widget directory. Go to your Sidebar Widget page under Presentation. Drag and drop the iMeem on to the sidebar. Click on the right side to configure it. You will need to enter the URL like above and also the height and width. Save and reload your website and you can see it on your sidebar. You can have up to 9 songs or playlist using this widget.

This is an example of what you should enter in the Anarchy Player or iMeem Widget

A friend send me this video, one of our own local rapper. Ipoh Mali is rap track sang by Point Blanc’s. This is quite famous and you can almost hearing it everyone on the radio. Sometimes I think its a bit too much when the DJs keep on repeating some songs morning and night. There are so many songs to play for one whole day why must they repeat some of the songs they played earlier in the morning.
