I was wondering what my friend was talking about when he mention digital signage to me. I totally have no idea till he explain it to me. From his explanation, this digital signage are like those plasma screens or LCD screens that you can see hanging around in malls or at a busy street. Not only that it is good for advertising but it is also quite informative and entertaining as well. How many times have you stop and take a look at what is showing there? I know I would look at it if I do happen to pass by one. To me this kind of advertising are more appealing and catch much greater attention from passerby.

If you are still using those free subdomain name like from Blogspot or Wordpress, it is time to get more personalised and have your own domain name. You can still use the hosting from Blogspot or Wordpress. All you need to do is to link your Domain Name to your current Blogspot/Wordpress address. However finding a domain name that you like might not be that easy. Most of the popular domain names are already taken up especially those ending with .com.

As for where you can get or buy a domain name, you can easily find a domain name reseller on the internet easily. Post rejected

I had a couple of post rejected from a paid to post company this week. The reason they gave is that I have some adult content in the form of advertising in my blog. I search all on my blog and I couldn’t find any adult advertisement here. I even looked up in the source and didn’t find anything of that kind. Seriously, I’m cracking my head looking for this advertisement. If anyone of you can find that adult advertisement for me, please do let me know where it is located. I think I’m getting blind or they are the ones that need glasses. I have resubmitted my post to get approved for more than once now but it still keep getting rejected.

Watch tv on PC

Have you ever tried watching TV on your PC or did you know that you can actually watch TV on it? I have always been interested in watching TV on my PC as I’m only renting a room. Space is very much limited thus being able to watch TV on my PC would be a good thing. From what I know, you can watch normal TV broadcast by using TV Tuner but if you wish to watch more than that, you would need to subscribe to cable or have a more powerful satellite dish.

All of that equipment aren’t cheap at all. That is not including whatever subscription fees that you might need to pay. I was told about this PCShowBuzz where you can watch more than 1000+ TV channels as soon as you install it. This is really interesting. If this is as what they say, I can watch tv on pc anytime I want. The downloadable software isn’t that expensive either. If I’m getting it, I will be able to watch TV while I’m working on my other stuffs. No more missing out on my favorite programs anymore.

Streamyx sucks

Today the streamyx connection is extremely bad. I couldn’t even load my Yahoo mail. I’m not sure what is going on as I couldn’t get in touch with the Streamyx technical department. It seems that not only me was having this problem but other people were facing this too. With such bad connection I can’t even play my WorldofWarcraft. Its the first time I’m having latency problem. I got disconnected from the game server a couple of times till I got fed up of connecting. Luckily it was only temporarily and now things are back to normal. I hope they will try to maintain their Streamyx service.

Unit trust

I have finally made my decision and going to invest some of my money in EPF into Public Mutual. After listening to the advice of the Public Mutual agent, I will be investing in 3 aggresive mutual funds. One in the Islamic funds while the other 2 in Non-Islamic funds. I hope to see some good returns in the coming years. I was also told to invest in another unit trust which have a good return record. According to her, the investment return in this unit trust is about 20%. This is very good compare to Fixed Deposit interest. However I would still need to check out what this unit trust is all about before investing.

Are you brand conscious? Branding is not only about clothes as most people incorporate that word. It could pertain to any product, merchandise, business or service being offered to consumers. There are household names already as to toothpaste, laundry detergents, e-mail service provider, computer brand, Real Estate Company and a whole lot more. In our company, we had training before that geared towards branded customer service since we are in a telecommunication business and we are serving our customers 24/7. That is why a branded customer service is necessary.

A person could also be branded like if he is good or bad. A profession likewise can be categorized as to high calibers or those that are second bests. How is it to build a brand and if possible to maintain it? Can it be done overnight? Can you do it on your own? Building a brand and an image will take a lot of hard work and continuous study until you reached that goal. That is why there are surveys being held in a regular basis added to your usual inventory of everything. Why a survey? No one would tell himself if he faces his own mirror that he is ugly, right? That is why it is really best that besides the survey that is only a part of building a brand, it will be better to consult a company that specializes on branding and imaging. That will surely help!

I haven’t been using WidgetBucks for quite a while now. I was going through my past emails and notice there is an update from them. They are now expanding its cost-per-click (CPC) network, giving publishers and bloggers two ways to earn revenue from their Western European traffic. This expansion will affect United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Belgium. What happen is when publishers serve WidgetBucks ad widgets on their sites, users based in the UK (for example) will now see a short-duration CPM display ad followed by a CPC shopping widget featuring UK-based merchants and products, listed in British pounds. The CPM-CPC hybrid gives publishers two revenue streams from the same ad widget instance. Before today, only CPM (cost-per-thousand impressions) ads were served to visitors outside the U.S. and Canada. Below are sample of their new widgets which will be available soon.

Since I’m banned from Google Adsense, I can only rely on Adbrite ads to make some earnings from there. Their latest email which I received from them inform me of which ads unit that is generating relatively low earnings for me. They even gave me suggestions on how to increase the earnings for it. One of the way and most important one is to drive more traffic to my site. The more visitors that my site attracts, the more I’ll be able to earn. I’m also advise to change my ads placement by putting it at the most-viewed areas of your site, particularly on the areas directly above and to the left of your core content. It seems that ads which the users must scroll down to see or far from my main core content will significantly earn me less revenue. Other than that, I will also probably add Full Page Ads or Inline Ads just to boost up my earnings. For those who have been banned by Google Adsense, Adbrite is a good alternative.
